Hi — I'm Dana. I'm a parent of two in the Midwest, and for years I've tracked every dollar that moves through this household: the grocery receipts, the utility bills, the insurance renewals, the birthday parties. Not because it's fun (okay, the spreadsheets are a little fun) but because a family budget is a leaky boat, and someone has to be the person with the bucket.

Penny Team is where I write down what actually works — meal plans priced to the item, phone-call scripts that lowered real bills, price-book data from our local stores — and, just as often, what didn't work and what it cost to find out. I'm not a financial planner and I don't play one online. Everything here is one careful household's tested experience, with sources linked so you can check the numbers yourself.

When I'm not comparing unit prices, I'm losing board games to my kids and defending my title in the church chili cook-off. Reach me anytime at hello@pennyteam.com or via the contact page.
